As expected, the Trade Mission this year was an outstanding success.

The Delegation consisted of 19 business persons, and 7 spouses and friends. It included 2 representatives of IDAL, Mr. Nabil Itani, Chairman, and Mr. Murshed Hajj Chahine.

It kicked off on Monday (13 May) eve through a dinner at the Apollo Rotana Hotel Sea Food Restaurant, attended by members and friends, and the Chargee d'Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy in the Hague, H.E. Abir Ali.

On Tuesday the delegation were bussed to the Hague, where they were received at the NCH (Netherlands Center for Business Development) for lunch and a presentation, followed by a cocktail and Business to Business gathering hosted by H.E. Abir Ali at the Lebanese Ambassador's Residence in Wassenaar, attended by a large number of Dutch business persons, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President of the Middle East Netherlands Business Council Mr. Salim Rabbani, and Ambassadors of the MENA Region.

Wednesday saw the Delegation head to Venlo, where they were hosted by Green Port Venlo, a partnership between the Private and Public Sector aimimg to make of Venlo a Business Hub in the Food domain, and hoping to draw foreign investors. A presentation was given by the hosts to that effect, followed by a presentation by Mr. Itani on IDAL, who, in return, demonstrated the benefits for Dutch investors to invest in Lebanon.

The rest of the time was dedicated to individual meetings.

It was not all business and no fun, however! The delegation had visited the world-famous Keukenhof Tulip Exhibition with all its splendor, on Sunday (12 May), , and the Madurodam in the Hague (miniature replica of Dutch cities and famous monuments) on Tuesday.

See you all next year.
