In anticipation of the summer holidays, the LDBA organized a trip to Ehden region on September 1st, 2018.
The program included:
A gathering at 08:00 AM @ the Netherlands Embassy, facing centre Sofil, Achrafieh.
Departing from Beirut at 08h15 AM
Stop over for breakfast on the way,
- Visit of the old town of Tripoli:
- St Gilles Castle
- Khan El Khayatin (old Tailor’s souk)
- Khan El Saboun (soap souk)
- Taynal Mosque considered the most important monument in Tripoli.
- Hammam Izzeddine (old public bath)
- Visit of Bnachii laque
- Hiking into the Cedar reserve of Ehden
- Lunch in Ehden @ Diwen Kasser El Mezza
- Visit of St Antony the Great’s monastery where exhibited the first printing press broughtto the Arab world year 1610
- Back to Beirut.
